It has been more than a week since my last blog post. How bad does that feel? I've got some sort of addiction now, and nobody's even reading this! Least, nobody I can think of. I really should check the stats.

I have just about completed week 1 of my new job. It's been a fairly relaxed start, although I've had a couple of projects drop right on my lap. I suppose you could say I hit the ground walking.

This place is frenetic with activity. I landed on Monday, and my entire reporting chain dissapeared into a meeting with clients to discuss new functionality I'll be implementing at some stage. The meeting continued through Tuesday, and it wasn't until Tuesday afternoon that I actually got my hands on the source code to the product I'll be working on.

Tuesday night, two thirds of my reporting chain flew halfway up the country to visit with another client. Wednesday, the last third dissapeared horizontally. In the middle of all this, I've managed to sort out the third party controls the app uses, get the source running and hooked up to the database, and conference call with clients about one of my projects.

Busy first week. Sorry about the lack of attention, blog.
